Taking a break from the dissing. It's my son's Holy Confirmation Day and Lutheranism's Reformation Day. So go out there, indulge and lynch some Catholics or something. Luther wouldve wanted it that way. If you're in the area, stop by for What Surely Will Be Too Many Sandwiches Ordered at Camp Miklasz. TWO trays of deviled eggs, Ma? Was that really necessary? And slightly ironic?
Guard the kids; there's beer and wine in the house!

Luther wanted to reform the Catholic Church not destroy it in the beginning. Germany was a patchwork of Catholic and Protestant principalities. The Reformation was a volatile mixture of greed , politics and lust ,( not naming names , Henry VIII ) and made things very complicated time in history..
For everyone who loathes the Catholic Church , please consider this , without the commissions of the Catholic Church , say goodbye to Notre Dame , Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel and "The Pieta", Da Vinci's "The Last Supper " , and Mozart's " Great Mass" .
Suddenly the Renaissance looks somewhat bleak .
So how about this? Let's respect each other's beliefs .Especially on Reformation Day.
Or , alternatively , as Catholics celebrate on Nov. 1st, " All Souls Day" , remember all those we love who have died.
I agree with all of that, Kate, I ws being jesty about lynching Catholics. I had to explain to Guy what Reformation Day was. We remember All Saints Day on Nov 1st too.
Personally, I belong a Unitarian, not a Lutheran....
